Download whole Gmail To your Computer For Offline Use

Gmail is coming up with more and more abilites which has attracted millions of users from other mail accounts like yahoo, msn. They have introduced much extra features through lab features which are presently in testing stage but users can still use it .You can view and enable them from the tab which appears in right most corner of the gmail.
The latest lab feature is the ‘offline gmail’,which ultimately gives the power to download all or selected gmail mails or messages to your pc for the offline use.once you enable ‘Offline Gmail’ from the Labs tab under Settings, you can choose which messages get downloaded. On the Offline tab under Settings, you’ll see your current settings and be able to set how much mail you want to download from each of your labels.
When you hit save, Gmail will synchronize new messages you didn’t have downloaded before and remove the ones you’re not planning to read from your hard drive. You can always change your settings back to keep fewer or more messages later on — fewer messages means Offline Gmail runs faster

1.Normally file copy happens in a single thread, which takes more time, which happens much disadvantageous in case of dual core processors or higher ones. But ,in order it to make a multi threaded program with n number of threads ,you can specify “/MT[:n]” in command line. The optimal value of n will be equal to number of processors.
2.Press the Windows key and type Gpedit.msc. Go to Computer Navigation -> Windows Settings -> Security Settings -> Application Control Policies -> AppLocker. Right click on one of the options and create a new rule.Through this, you can block the users of executing vulnerable scripts and other harmful executables.
3.Effective power management can be done by pressing the Windows Key and typing “POWERCFG –ENERGY –OUTPUT ”,which will create a file called energy-report.html in the folder. You can then view the power options for all devices and can compare with the specified ratings.
4.Hold down Shift, right-click the drive and “Open in New Process” which can open even a folder as a new process if it can cause you a crash and terminate all your works.

4 Tools For Working Remotely

Tools for working remotely

Below are all the tools I use on a daily basis for working remotely. I’m sure that you’re already using some of them.

Skype

Skype is perhaps the most used communication tool for companies. You can use skype for chat, making and receiving calls, or for doing screen sharing. Best of all skype is free and works on every platform.

Campfire

Campfire is a web application by 37signals for keeping track of communications with your team. We use campfire extensively and we never had a single issue in many years.

Google Apps and Google Docs

Google apps together with google docs provides most of what you’ll ever need for sharing documents. I personally use these tools only occasionally, except for gmail where I can sync many account into a single one.

Basecamp

Basecamp is another web application by 37signals. You can use basecamp to keep track of your projects and things to do. If your requirements are simple you can probably use pen and paper, otherwise this is an excellent program. I am personally not using basecamp anymore, as my requirements are very specific and I don’t have a team to manage.
